I have received a few e-mail about operation wolf gun Issues, most of them are related to the same behavior:
The gun is not registering bullets on the screen or not on the corners of the monitor.
If you just have bought an OW cab
And you have those symptoms, the first thing to do is to clean the monitor glass. Over time , dust will set there and you will be surprised how dirty your paper towel will look after a lil swipe
Clean the Bezel and try again. If nothing as improved, clean all the connectors on the pcb.
then turn on the brightness on your monitor.
Deep into the guts !!!
If none of the above worked, you will need to go a bit deeper into the cab...
Open the bottom door, and you will found several components.
The main PCB and on the right corner is an additional power supply.

This power supply is supposed to send -12v to the gun sensor and +13v to the pcb.
My cab was not shooting on the corner of the screen, and when I tested the voltage, I found the -12v @ -3.6 so: what to do ?
Capkit time :-)
Lucky, only 2 capacitors need to be changed.
-1 (25v4700uf)
-1 (25v100uf)
How I did it:
Be very careful to respect the polarity of the cap !!!
Put back the psu, and check the voltages again....
And when I fired my cab again, it work perfectly !!!
Final step:
I dismantled the gun, and found out that the lens was extremely dirty To clean it, you will have to open the gun and it will be good to see if all wires are connected properly and make sure that nothing is loose.
Here you can see the sensor
I removed it and cleaned the lens.
I also removed the end of the gun, inside you will found a plastic lens, mine was extremely dirty.
Those steps, should in some cases bring your cab back to life BUT IT CAN BE OTHER ISSUES (PCB) ...
PS: The lens sensor on the gun is not 100% reliable, that why I grab an extra gun on eBay to have a spare one, just in case.
